‘I came as an unaccompanied minor from Burundi in 2007. I came to ACFA and used the computers. ACFA found someone to help me with VCE Physics and Biology. I liked it that I felt welcome; people were friendly and informal. I did a student placement for a Diploma of Community Services at ACFA and in 2011 became a staff member. Now I get to help other African-Australians through case work, sporting activities and working with schools. I’m proud to be able to be useful to my community.’ Dieudonne

‘Thank you Christa for your excellent networking and promotion to get 62 people from African communities involved in a vital learn to swim program at extremely short notice.’ John Weeks, Team Leader Community Sport and Recreation, City of Greater Dandenong 2013

‘I’ve been here four years from Ethiopia. David has been very nice and very helpful.’ Casework client
